Project "Together on stage"

Project carried out, as part of the regional call for proposals "Davanti le quinte!", From a territorial network which includes, in addition to our Association, the Municipality of Costa (Leading Body), the Municipality of Trecenta, the Liceo Celio Roccati and the 'GIC Association - Youth on the Way. Within the project, disabled young people and high school students were involved, as it became clear that working to build a project TOGETHER becomes a formidable tool to overcome, "forget" the communication barriers between people; this happens because the value of the community that it includes expresses itself naturally without paying attention to the diversity (which is and is there for all to see) and because what each one can give to the group in a solidary relationship to reach the goal that takes on importance becomes important it belongs to everyone. In this perspective it is not so important to "tell" on the stage the disability to convey inclusiveness and solidarity, as to demonstrate "in front of the scenes" the result of those values translated into concrete actions; also the choice of the work to be represented: a free adaptation of the film "It can be done" of 2008, inspired by the true stories of social cooperatives born in the eighties to give work to patients discharged from mental hospitals following the Basaglia Law, gives depth to the theme of disability and social inclusion.
The proposal, the result of a convinced collaboration between the Associations and Institutions (School, Municipalities), intends to combine in this way the reality of associations and institutions, disabilities and different competences, in the final perspective of strengthening social relations and volunteering, of personal growth in its entirety and complexity through the relationship with the group and the different from itself, the experimentation of their own limits, their abilities and their skills.
The project, currently under construction, involves the representation of the theatrical performance in the municipal theaters and the participation in festivals and festivals for schools.
