The project has been realised with the collaboration of the "Centro Territoriale per l'Immigrazione – Istituto Comprensivo Rovigo 1" (Territorial Centre for the Immigration – Comprehensive School) and it intends to promote the equal opportunities in favour of disadvantaged young people and people who have special educational needs, through tutoring actions for the achievement of the homework and home study. The initiative entails an afternoon homework support service for children, also aimed at the development of self-efficacy and self-esteem; moreover, we want to offer a space in which the disable people can socialize, enhance their autonomy, improve their cognitive and meta-cognitive abilities; the project is addressed to the Territory of the Municipality of Rovigo, where numerous proposals regarding disability were activated, but not concerning the provision of help and support in doing homework at home. The operators are all volunteers of the association, and they are supported on a didactic and psychological level by a team made up of professional educators and psychologists; the key element of the activity is the relationship between the after-school volunteers and the curriculum teachers, so that a proper team play is created to improve the scholastic success of the children.
